Sustainability is a particularly important topic for higher education institutions, as those who educate today help shape the society of tomorrow. Salzburg University of Applied Sciences embraces this responsibility and is committed to achieving climate neutrality, driving innovation and providing education that strengthens future‑oriented skills. The latest issue of the “warum!” e‑paper explores sustainability from many different perspectives – including projects in teaching, research and student initiatives.

“Sustainability is an important topic for us as a university, one with many dimensions. We therefore approach it from a variety of angles, including in our teaching and research,” explains Dominik Engel, Rector and Managing Director of Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, highlighting why the topic holds such significance for him.
